You Are Complete In Him

We are complete in him. Jesus mirrors our wholeness and endorses our true identity. He is “I am” in us.

— Colossians 2:10 (Mirror Bible)

Judges 6:16 says that Gideon would defeat the Midianites as one man. How? Because “the Lord was with him!”

When you look at the word truth in John 8:32 the Greek word is reality. If you embrace God’s reality, it will bring true freedom into your life. God’s reality to Gideon was that the Lord was with him and though it looked like there was but one man, it was not as it seemed.

In 2 Kings 6:16, Elisha prays for the servant’s eyes to be opened to see how many were with them. He wanted his servant to see the army of the Lord around them. This is you. Though it seems as though you are but one, when you know the Lord is with you, you are as many.

The Lord tells Gideon who he is and what he can do because “The Lord is with him”. This is truth. And the Lord tells you that He is with you. (Matt 28:20b) Do you believe it or do you counter and argue with Him as Gideon did? The Lord has said who you are, whose you are and that He is with you. This is reality-truth.

In the Garden of Eden, the lie replaced the truth. God loved Adam and Eve and provided  everything good for them. Yet they believed the lie that God was not good, that God did not love them and that God did not give them His best. They believed the serpent when he said, “God is holding out on you. Eat from this tree and you will be like God”. They already were like God. They were created in His image and likeness.

What is sin? Sin is missing the mark. Adam and Eve missed the mark of truth. The mark is truth. That is who God is, Truth. When you take the lie, you miss the mark. When you believe the lie that says, “God is distant and I am not who God says I am”, you miss the mark.

We sin because we miss the mark and what is the mark? It is truth and who is truth? God is truth and He speaks only truth. Therefore, “God is who He says He is and I am who God says I am”.

Since God says He is with me then I am complete, lacking nothing. It doesn’t matter what it feels or looks like because that is not God’s reality-truth. He is with me and if I counter His words, I miss the mark as Gideon did, rejecting God who is Truth.

You are amazing! You are victorious! You are all that God says you are because He is with you! You are complete in Him. That is truth. Focus on the mark – Truth! Take it to heart, live by it. You are the person God created you to be because He is with you.

“You are defined by God’s word. Nothing can change that!”
