“When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden…”
— Genesis 3:8
God enjoyed fellowship with Adam and Eve because we assume He walked with them in the cool of the evening everyday. It’s a picture of a daddy enjoying his children.
The big difference here is that Abba Father is never too busy to spend time with His children. Have you ever been talking with someone on the phone and they say, “Oops, so sorry, but I have to take this.” Or perhaps you are sitting together sharing something important and you see their mind is in another place or they respond to a text. It’s disheartening, isn’t it? You feel devalued – like you don’t matter. You long for someone who is going to listen to you and not rush you or say they have something else to do. The Great I AM, your Abba, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, says, “Come sit with Me. I am here for you – to listen to you, to rejoice with you, to encourage you, to comfort you. You will never be talking to me and then hear Me say, ‘Sorry, I have to take this or forgive Me, I must go now’. No, I have all the time you need. You are important to Me and what is important to you is important to Me. What is exciting in your life? What is overwhelming? Tell Me. I have time and I want to know”. No matter the feeling, you are in the heart of love.

Feelings Are Not Always Truthful
