For the kingdom of God is . . . righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
— Romans 14:17 (NKJ)
There are times when it’s really hard to let go and let God. The first step is to choose whose Lordship you will submit to.
As we have been learning, it really comes down to the heart. It’s not just words we speak, but rather it is a heart decision which is made with intention. To seek the Kingdom is making the choice that Jesus is Lord of the feeling, the emotions, the thoughts, the moment. It is choosing His Lordship and surrendering to that decision.
By not choosing His Kingdom, His Lordship, we have chosen . . . self-lordship and then we blame God for the situation we’ve gotten ourselves into. Proverbs states a man will choose his own way twisting the path, then he will rage against God, blaming Him.
How do you know where your heart is once you have decided the path of righteousness, which means “as it should be”.? The heart will bear the inner fruit of the Kingdom, peace and joy. When you have these, there is no hesitancy, discord, or unrest on the inside, just an Inner peace indicating you are in agreement with His Lordship.
You are seeking His Kingdom when you make Him Lord. If you don’t have true inner peace, then recognize it and ask the Holy Spirit to help you as you change the beliefs of your heart and make Him Lord of the moment.
“Do yourself a favor! Let Him IN.”
