We are continuing with the Kingdom of God where God rules and reigns. He has given each of us the choice to decide who reigns in our life.
This is a choice of the heart. The battle we face is not with the world of the five senses. Rather, it is with the heart and its response to truth. Each moment we are faced with the choice of God-rule or self-rule. It is either truth (God’s defined reality) or deception (self defined reality of what is good and evil).
In the Garden of Eden, it was all about choice, not the issue of satan’s power. The choice was about defining reality – with God or self. They chose to let themselves have the final say in what was their perceived reality, apart from God. The choice again was who defines reality, good and evil? God or self, they chose self.
In their hearts, they believed lies about God and chose to follow self-rule and this is the issue which continues to this day. Who is Lord? Who will I surrender to? Self reality or God’s reality?
Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart, not just for a one time choice of heaven or hell, a ticket through the skies to heaven. No, He is knocking at the door of your heart waiting for you to make Him Lord in that moment. Who has the final say? Whoever is Lord, self or Jesus.
Seek first the Kingdom of God, His Lordship, His reality, His dominion, His truth. Open the door and let Him be Lord of the road rage, make Him Lord over the stress, make Him Lord over the fear, make Him Lord over the sickness, make Him Lord over the strife, make Him Lord over the hurt and pain. It is deliberately choosing His way in the moment. That is choosing the path of righteousness.
Luke 17:21 (KJV) Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Who is Lord of this moment in your life? Open the door, let Him into the moment, choose the path of righteousness. Declare the Kingdom of God within you by deciding that Jesus is Lord in the right now. You can do it! The Holy Spirit is leading you.
