April 2026 Wallpaper

April 1, 2026

Remember Me is not flipping through the pages of history rather, it is the past fills the now with life.

…that the Lord Jesus on the night during which He was being betrayed took bread, 24 and having given thanks, He broke it and said, This is my body which is [given] on your behalf. This be doing with a view to remembering me. 25 In like manner also He took the cup after the partaking of the food, saying, This cup is the covenant new in its nature, a covenant which is within the sphere of my blood. This be doing as often as you are drinking it, with a view to remembering me.

— 1 Corinthians 11:23-25 (Wuest)

The Lord made a covenant with the people of Israel the day He set them free from the Egyptians (Jeremiah 34:13). This is a shadow of what was to come. Jesus established the  new covenant the day He gave Himself for our freedom.

We are told to remember which means to bring to mind with relevance, to recall what He has done for us. He has delivered us from the hand of the enemy, from satan and the curse. We are delivered out of darkness and brought into His marvelous light. He has destroyed the works of the enemy. It was for freedom that we have been set free!

In doing this the “remember Me” is to bring into the present, to bring it into your current situation. It is letting the past fill the now with LIFE, not just flipping the pages of the Gospels and reading or hearing words of history. No, we are to remember what He has done for us, He established a new and better covenant. Remembering is bringing His life, given for us, into the right now.

It is recalling that He is present with us in this very moment. Realizing that we have His peace in the middle of the chaos. His provision is abundance and it is ours now. His blessings are ours, right now. His healing is given for us, right now. His righteousness is ours, right now. We are children of God, deeply loved and accepted, right now. We are forgiven and free, right now. No matter what it feels like we look to what He has done and remember.

You are to bring His life into the current pages of your life, remembering the Covenant. Seeing, feeling, remembering it is for you, not in the sweet by and by, but in the right now.
