“But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

So the Israelites were saved from the ones who wanted to destroy them. Last week I talked about the big sin of “independence”. Here God’s people had no way out. They were trapped and they panicked. They had not always depended on God but now there was nothing they could do in the natural to save themselves. Maybe you are afraid and in a situation you can’t control and you don’t know what to do. Feeling helpless is frightening and Abba knows that. This is why He says over and over “do not be afraid”. The great I AM created you and He promises to take care of you many times in the Bible. Focus on His Great LOVE for you which He demonstrated by sending Jesus – take a deep breath. Then tell Him what is going on and how you feel. Stand still and begin thanking Him for the solution. He will make a way where you see no way. It may not happen in an instant, but God is working on your behalf. Trust Him and watch Him make a way for you as He did for the Israelites. He is not judging you; He is loving you.
