But Micaiah replied, “As surely as the LORD lives, I will say only what the LORD tells me to say.”
— 1 Kings 22:14
How many times do we say something other than what the Lord says? Negative words come out of our mouth about the times we live in, how worried we are, how things will never change, how stressed and distressed we are, how we have anxiety attacks, how miserable we are, criticism of others, etc. Those words are what the world says. Jesus says He has overcome the world and given us authority to reign in the midst of stress and chaos. He says to bless those that seem against us. We should be saying what He tells us to say, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, I have the peace of Jesus inside me in the midst of turmoil, Jesus loves me and supplies my needs. I am the righteousness of God through Jesus, not through my works. I am an overcomer. I am loved.” Speak blessings over yourself and others. Say what the Lord tells you to say in His Word. Be conscious of what you say. Think before you speak!
