Storm on the horizon

Never Judge God By Your Circumstances

July 10, 2022
Storm on the horizon

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, not the obstacle you are overcoming.

“…The Roman officials ordered that Paul and Silas be stripped of their garments and beaten with rods on their bare backs…Paul and Silas, undaunted, prayed in the middle of the night and sang songs of praise to God, while all the other prisoners listened to their worship.”

— Acts 16:22b, 25

They did not sing to God to get them out of this terrible situation. Of course they wanted out, but they sang because they knew God is good and has good for them even though circumstances didn’t show it at that moment. They were saying “bring it on” because no matter what you do, you cannot separate me from the love of God. It’s in me, around me, under me, beside me and over me. They focused on Abba Father who is goodness and love – always. This is knowing your God. He is good! Don’t let your situation drag you down. Never judge God by your circumstances. Worship your Father who is always, always for you.
