May 2024 Wallpaper

May 1, 2024

God’s love is all around us.

“…Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;”

— Isaiah 49:15-16 (NKJ)

Here God says that you are not forgotten for you are inscribed on the palms of His hands. How is this? We need to go back to what happens in a covenant. When a covenant was made there was a mark that would be made on the parties making the covenant. A cut was made on the body and a substance was rubbed into the cut to permanently make a scar so that the covenant would always be remembered.

This is what God has done for us. Jesus came, The Son of God came as The Son of Man and made covenant as The Son of Man with God. This covenant was made including you and me in it.

The nail prints are forever, they are imprinted on the palms of His hands (this word in the Hebrew is also translated as sole of the foot). We are forever in His remembrance and He sees this reminder of the covenant whenever He looks at His hands and his feet. God remembers you; He never forgets you. When you receive this covenant, what Jesus did for you, you are forever a child of God (John 1:12-13).

This is evidence of God’s love for you. He removed all barriers to receiving His love through the covenant, through Jesus. This is the greatest act of love – to lay down one’s life for His friends (John 15:13).

When we don’t feel worthy of something, we can’t receive it. We alienate ourselves from God in our minds (Colossians 1:21) believing we are not worthy to be loved. Yet, we are very valuable and worthy, so much so that God came in the flesh to redeem us. It was man that disobeyed and rejected God meaning the rescue and reconciliation had to come through a man (Romans 5:19). God could not rescue man but God as The Son of Man (in the flesh – Jesus) was the One to restore reconciliation.

Let yourself receive His love for you. You were the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2).

It is easy to get caught up in the tides of life and not see what is right in front of us. God’s love is all around us if we let ourselves see it. His goodness is here. It is evident in  the details of life and the world around us, He LOVES you and has proved His love by engraving you in the palms of His hands and feet.

When you are in the sea what do you see? All you can see is that you are surrounded by the sea. Leap into the sea of His love, stay there and bask in it minute by minute and you will be refreshed. See the sea of His love – It is all around you – Leap!
