Amazing!! Jesus is saying that the Father loves you and me as much as He loves Jesus. Can you comprehend that? When I really think about that, it brings tears to me eyes. To comprehend means: to grasp, to catch hold of, to seize, to take in and to completely understand. This takes meditation for me. It’s not just saying words but letting myself receive and experience His Love.
We’ll always be limited as to how much of God’s fullness we will receive if we don’t comprehend how much He loves us. True comprehension of God’s love causes us to know that He always hears us. Listen again to what He prayed for you and me in this verse. He says, “You love them as You have loved Me – passionately!” We are so blessed!
