But then the day dawned; the most complete culmination of time. (Everything predicted was concluded in Christ.) The Son arrived, commissioned by the Father; his legal passport to the planet was his mother’s womb. In a human body exactly like ours he lived his life subject to the same scrutiny of the law.

The devil knew the Messiah was coming but He did not know the exact plan. There were many attempted road blocks. (1 Corinthians 2:8) Satan was always trying to thwart God’s redemptive plan starting with Cain and Abel. He didn’t know the full details of the plan but he knew a redeemer was coming who would dethrone him, crush his head and take away his authority.
Satan tried to contaminate the lineage. He attempted to corrupt the peoples as we see in the days of Noah. Genesis 6:9 says Noah was “perfect in his generations” meaning his blood line was untainted. Thus the Lord rescued the line so the lineage of the Redeemer could come through Noah.
The blood line of humanity had been contaminated. When the Israelites intermingled with the evil nations around them we see satan again working to contaminate their blood line. In the Old Testament, satan is always trying to shipwreck God’s redemptive plan. He tries with Jacob and Esau, Joseph and his brothers and it goes on and on.
These are not just stories, they are God’s thread of love, His plan of the ages. He was watching over His redemptive plan to make sure everything was ready and in place for His plan of LOVE.
These stories were the backdrop for the plan to unfold. The time for the great reveal was at hand. The stage was set and it was ready to “go live”.
Years in the making, God had been purposefully orchestrating people, time, and events. He was also arranging the stars for this moment. The amount of detail and planning is beyond our comprehension. It is amazing and was all done for love.
Excitement was felt in the heavens along with joy. God’s plan was seen on the horizon. The Redeemer was to be born. There were hours of planning and preparation. This was the moment of great anticipation especially for the Creator of the production, the One who had the idea from the beginning.
Do you see how important you are to God? You are the reason for His redeeming plan. You! God is here. He has come as you. He has come, God from God, to set things right and to rescue you from the hand of the liar and deceiver. You are His beloved.
God gave you and me Himself. Jesus has come. Jesus has been in your place, in your environment and in your darkness. This was God’s plan – to join us. He has come. Timing and patience were essential to the plan and now –
“LOVE has come”
