“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
— Isaiah 9:2
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.”
God came into your darkness, doubt, depression, addiction, fear, disappointment, sadness, sickness. He became a human to experience your darkness and bring light. He came to make things right between you and God. 2 Cor 4:6 says Jesus came to show you the face of God – God as your Father, not as an ogre. Satan started out by smearing God’s name and he has continued to do that so you won’t trust God. Don’t allow the world, a movie, people or your experiences to paint your picture of God because it will be tainted. Study the person Jesus for yourself and see the true character of your Abba Father. Don’t stay in darkness. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you who God is as you study and be open so you can receive Truth; let it shine into your heart because Truth will set you free. Jesus came for you! You are always on His mind.
