December 2025 Wallpaper

December 1, 2025

Jesus is the exact representation of the Father.

I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.

— Psalm 138:2 (ESV)

God has exalted above all things His Name and His Word. Therefore, it is important to know why he did that.

In past generations and in the OT, a person’s name described who he/she was. You remember Jacob and Esau? In the Hebrew, Jacob meant heel catcher or supplanter. Esau meant rough. That perfectly describes the character of each person.

God is saying that He wants to reveal His character and nature to us through His Names and their meanings. God, alone, has the true ability to tell us who He is. Therefore, He sent His son who lived out the meaning of each of those Names while He was on earth. By believing God’s report about His identity through scripture, His Names and the life of Jesus, we never have to be confused and we can always know what to expect from Him. This causes us to trust Him.

Sadly, we have believed other reports from teachers, people and circumstances about who God is, rather than the ones He has given us.

Hebrews 1:3 says Jesus is the exact representation of the Father, so one sure way to tell if God would do something or not is to see if Jesus did it. If He didn’t do it, then God will not do it. If He did it, then God will do it.

During this month we are continuing to look at the eight Covenant Names of God and their meanings. As we ponder, meditate, imagine and abide in these Names, we will come to know the Father more intimately.

Knowing God’s character, nature and faithfulness is the root of faith.

God is excited for us to make this journey to know (experience) Him, so open your heart to see Him as He truly is. Be willing to throw out any picture you may have that does not line up with who He says He is.

These are the names for this month, December:

Jehovah Shalom, He is ETERNAL PEACE

Jehovah Rohi, He is ETERNAL SHEPHERD

Jehovah Tsidkenu, He is ETERNAL RIGHTEOUSNESS

Jehovah Shammaha, ETERNAL PRESENCE

“He revealed to us His Name”
