Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
— Galatians 6:7 (NKJ)
This should bring hope because we have the choice to plant the kind of seed we desire to get. If I want tomatoes, I plant a tomato seed. So if I want trust, peace, joy, patience, love, etc., that is what I need to plant. If I plant negative thoughts of fear, doubt, stress, anger and judgment – even unforgiveness, that is what I will get.
You are very special in ABBA’s eyes. He loves you more than you can think or imagine, but he will not choose for you. He will not make you plant good seed even though that is what He desires for you. He says “hear” what I am telling you and believe it in your heart. Then begin to walk in it. Some of you will hear what is being said and will decide to walk in the new you. Others of you will continue to walk in the old person because it’s more comfortable.
The seeds of stress, fear, worry, anxiety, etc do not promote health. They are not good for you. However, once a seed is planted, it grows by itself. That’s the reason you want to stop in the midst of thinking and saying these things, and talk to the Holy Spirit. You can make an internal decision to be different because you decide to walk in your new identity. You don’t have to continue in a wrong pattern. That is good news.
You can convince yourself that you really trust God, so it’s okay, in spite of what you say or how you feel, but things will never change if you do that. You are planting wrong seeds in your heart. Have a reality check with yourself. Own your actions and words.
If you want to change and you have a desire to do so, you can. Change your view and opinion to God’s. Btw, that is what repentance is – doing a turn around by changing to God’s view and opinion.
“Life doesn’t just happen. You reap what you sow.”
