“Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused.”
— Romans 1:21
Satan wants you to think God doesn’t care about you because He is the one blamed for all the bad things that happen. You can’t trust someone whom you think is causing trouble and destruction. This thinking causes foolish ideas about Him and you become confused. An indication of this is when you become unsettled about Him and yourself.
When this happens reevaluate what is flooding your mind. Do you see Abba as good? For you? He is good! He is for you! Satan tricked Eve into thinking He was not good and their lives went downhill. Check your thoughts before going to sleep. Before going to bed, I purposefully flood my mind with Jesus’ words by listening to an encouraging podcast or reading scriptures of hope and faith. When faced with a challenge, sometimes I picture myself walking through the Red Sea with the Israelites, even reaching up and touching the wall of water. Ah, God cares for me – for you! You can trust Him! He dances with joy over you! That’s Abba Father!
