“that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…”

Is this verse saying that Christ may dwell in our hearts through feeling? No, Christ does not dwell in our hearts through feeling. Yet we think we have to feel something and when we feel nothing, we think that Jesus must have left us or is not pleased with us because we don’t feel or sense He is with us. This verse does not say He is there because we “feel” Him. No, He is there by faith – we believe He is there because the Word of God says He is there. We are told that He will NEVER LEAVE us. We have the choice to live by feelings or by His Word. We must live by faith and cultivate His presence by thoughts and imagination according to our trust in what the Word says – that He lives in you and me.
