The devil does not want you to forgive because he enjoys it when people nurture their hurts and hold grudges. He will whisper that you don’t forgive until the person says they are sorry Yet Jesus forgave you. He gave you mercy, grace and love before you ever said you were sorry. And He never reminds you of your sin – so it’s not your responsibility to remind others of their sin. Let Jesus vindicate you. He set you free so don’t let the devil catch you in his web of unforgiveness. Jesus understands your hurt, but He doesn’t want you to stay there. Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling. Take a deep breath and let it go! YOU ARE FREE! When the devil tries to bring it up again don’t take the bait! Say, “No, I let it go”. Begin to do what God says – bless the person instead of zeroing in on the offense. Watch what happens and be amazed! Jesus loves you so much!
