In the spring of 2022, my grandson Jay and his fiancé Megan and I were talking on the phone. Jay said, “YahYah, we want to ask you a question. Would you officiate at our wedding?” I was very surprised – in fact, I was stunned. “You want me to what?”
They wanted me to officiate at their wedding in California. Oh my! I was blessed and honored! After talking with the Lord about it, I felt peace to say “yes” with much joy. Soon afterwards, the Holy Spirit began to give me an idea. With excitement I began to write. I started with a wedding in Biblical times as the words flowed and I continued with personal things that drew them to each other. It was different from anything I had ever heard at a wedding but it felt right.
After the wedding, several people came up and said, “You shared the gospel message!” Others asked if they could have a copy. So that is the reason I am making the wedding service and homily available on my website.
